Advocating for a More Inclusive Screen Industry

I’m passionate about making the film world feel like home - for audience members, programmers, and professionals alike. As someone who lives with disability and works across the screen sector, I see both the beauty of film and the barriers that still persist. That’s why I’m committed to helping every space become more welcoming, so no one has to feel left out.

Accessibility evolves. There’s no single standard—every venue, screening, or institution has unique needs. But the one constant is this: the goal is always the same—to ensure nobody is excluded.

I approach this with curiosity, empathy, and collaboration. Together, we tailor access solutions that fit your space, audience, and aspirations.

  • Inclusive Programming & Marketing

How do we make sure the films we choose, and the way we share them, truly reach everyone? This workshop focuses on curating accessible screenings (subtitled, audio described, relaxed) and designing marketing that is inclusive, clear, and representative.

  • Disability Awareness for the Screen Sector

A friendly, interactive introduction to the social model of disability and how it applies to cinema and festivals. We’ll explore common barriers—both visible and invisible—and practical steps your team can take to create welcoming experiences for all audiences.

  • Building Accessible Events

From venue set-up to audience communication, accessibility is a thread that runs through every stage of planning. In this workshop, we map out what access looks like in practice—from preparing access riders to designing events that meet the needs of diverse audiences.

Accessibility isn’t about creating “special” experiences—it’s about equitable ones. It ensures that everyone - regardless of ability - can access the same information, feel represented, and fully participate. It’s not about doing more—it’s about doing things thoughtfully, alongside the people they’re for.

Let’s Make Inclusion Real

Whether you’re a festival director exploring relaxed screenings, a cinema wondering how to build an access rider, or a programmer curious how to bring inclusion into every event - let’s figure that out, together. I offer practical workshops, tailored advice, and partnership rooted in both professional practice and lived experience.

  • Tailored workshops and training

Every organisation is different. I design bespoke workshops shaped around your goals, whether that’s improving access for one screening strand, training front-of-house teams, or rethinking your overall approach to audience development.

So how can we work together to make the screen sector more inclusive?

  • Embedding Inclusion into Strategy

Inclusion isn’t just about individual events - it’s about long-term vision. This workshop supports leadership teams and programmers in embedding accessibility into strategy, policy, and funding applications, ensuring access is sustainable rather than ad-hoc.
